Literature Text

It takes courage for someone to die for what they believe than to lie and save themselves. Courage is bravery, an ability to face intimidation and fear. In a situation where if you had to confess to a crime you didn’t commit in order to avoid punishment, it takes courage to choose punishment than freedom. Courage is saving someone’s life and risking yours. Courage is staying calm in a moment of panic or danger. It is bravery, love, and thoughtlessness, as well as being selfless. Courage is instantaneous. Even knowing the consequences of your own actions that might lead you to your death, you take the responsible action. It can make you honorable, honest, and someone to look up to.
A great example would be Martin Luther King Jr. He had a dream and also believed something that could have ended his life right there. Because he stood up for African Americans, here we are today developed and enjoying our lives with other individuals. It took him courage to give that speech, courage to believe in what he had to believe, and courage to deliver it to all those people that day in risk of his life to save the numerous others. Unlike all the others, he didn’t lie to himself (you can say stayed quiet and went along with the racial law) and stood up for them. Without fear, you can’t really have courage. It’s when you do the impossible when all hope seems ill and may even create a miracle.

Martin Luther King Jr.:
If you lose hope, somehow you lose the vitality that keeps life moving, you lose that courage to be, that quality that helps you go on in spite of it all. And so today I still have a dream. The Trumpet of Conscience
Courage is what pulls us through when we really need the push to do the unknown. This is my opinon.

1.Confessing to a crime you didn’t commit in order to avoid punishment is wise.

3. It is better to die for what you believe in rather than to lie to save your life.

7. Courage means doing something even though it can be difficult and fearsome.

This was an English assignment based off of "The Crucible"

It was debatable and I tried to make mine sound as convincing and on what I believed is right.
